No its not there, the microfon access tile and setting still exist. So best is to report to support

I have reported the problem to Customer Support. The corresponding request number is 1324660.

Installed without any problems and working great.

Congratulations and thank you.

Smooth update here. No loss of BT device pairings.

Boot seems quicker (after the initial one) and phone feels snappier.

Well done Fairphone!

Hmm, so you’re not hit by FP5: Android 15 killing background apps more aggressively ?

After updating my phone has started to perform 2 restarts when I unplug my phone after a full (overnight) charge. Performance is fine otherwise, but only after the two restarts that happens rapidly after each other, making my phone unusable for a couple of minutes every morning.

My phone also needed to restart after overnight charging.

I read here in the forum of many problems after the Android 15 update. Who knows if Fairphone will stop the rollout for now?
From experience, there will probably be a bugfix again in half a year.

Well, you see single incidents happening and being reported. What you do not see, is the number of updates that worked out well and do not impose problems afterwards, like in my case
The bad thing is you never know if you encounter any of these problems before you try it on your own. Besides one topic that is, that obviously is related to the usage of Orange France network (actual or in the past).
So if not more than a certain number (>20%, >50% or what ever you might find reasonable) of updates fail like the described single cases, there is no need to stop the rollout IMO.

Not sure how to define “many”. I would say there are “a few”.

My upgrade for example went smoothly and I didn’t encounter any of these errors (at least not yet). For example my BT devices are still all there and paired like before (where some did have problems with).

Oh, this is just great news!! and a testament to FP‘s willingness to take on some hard work to keep phones up-to-date. Thanks to everyone involved!

No one knows as you know…

3 posts were split to a new topic: Announcement & feedback topics with easy votes

Did anyone successfully continue to use Android Auto after the update, or is there possibly Problems?

Yes, for me it works fine, almost.
EDIT: I found one severe problem, though. AA crashes when using speech search. The complete UI crashes when using the search in the car.

BTW, I am not sure if it is solely a problem with the A15 update, as I updated the Google Play System at the same time

FYI @Robert_J @voks @yvmuell the missing camera access tile has already been flagged by FP4 Beta Testers and since it was removed by Google this is nothing FP can influence. Here is the workaround that has been shared as a solution:

this tile was removed by Google in Android 15, and it’s not possible to be re-added unfortunately. As a workaround, the “Disable sensors” tile is our best bet from now on. The microphone tile instead should work normally.

Hi @StevenHachel as officially stated here on the website, Fairphone will release a software update with security patch every 2 months. A software release with bug fixes will be planned depending on bug criticality.
