Wifi used to work fine for the first month but since yesterday my phone just won’t list any networks. Obviously I’ve turned Wifi off and on and rebooted the phone but without success. There are loads of wifi networks nearby and I checked using my laptop that they’re all still available.
Any ideas for debugging so I can provide more details?
You might try resetting all your wireless settings. This is a pain because you’ll lose all your Wi-Fi passwords, so make sure you have a note of them.
You’ll also lose all your Bluetooth pairings.
Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
This sounds a bit like the issue I’m experiencing. After a few hours, my phone no longer finds any WiFi networks. Reboot resolves the issue for me though.
Resetting WiFi and Bluetooth did not resolve the issue for me.
Same applies here; the wifi stops at some time and no networks can be found. I am on /e/os 3.1.4-a20250915526528-official-FP6. This used to work file with the previous version so I think this was broken with the patches of September. Only option for me is to reboot the phone, and then the wifi works again for like half a day.
Similar issue here, sometimes I wake up, and no SSIDs to be found. For me a reboot does work, but then it just happens again on another day.
Also FP6.QREL.15.148.0. It didn’t happen using the previous build.
I also noticed there’s a post about wifi not working over on the /e/OS community, so I would not be surprised if this is an issue with software (firmware or driver of some kind?) shared by both Android and /e/OS. (And obviously Roderik posted about it here.)
Same issue, since the latest update, I’ve had Wi-Fi stop working whilst I’m sleeping multiple times. Even if I try to re-enable it, when I check again in a few seconds it’ll say it’s turned off. Also, if I try to open internet settings from the settings app, whilst I’m trying to reactivate it, it crashes the settings app. The only fix that seems to work for me is restarting my phone.
Hi, I’m having an identical experience with my FP6. Lost wifi 2 times and could only fix it by rebooting. Also at least one unexpected restart after the update. But I did not see any messages beforehand.
The forum is for discussion between users, though FP staff may sometimes contribute. In order to make sure that Fairphone are aware of a problem, or to make suggestions, always contact official support. When you do that, you can of course cite a relevant forum topic.
There are two Fairphone 6s I our household and both are having the same issue. A factory reset on one didn’t fix the problem so we haven’t attempted it on the other. Resetting WiFi didn’t work, and the public WiFi setting didn’t help at all. OS version: 3.1.4-a15-20250915526528-official-FP6
I received my Fairphone 6 (Android) last week and already noticed the same issue with WiFi not working three times.
The first time it happened was 2 days after the initial setup (a clean setup instead of migrating data from my previous phone) during the night, I had to reboot the phone in the morning to be able to connect to WiFi again. 2 days later it happened again but it was in the afternoon so the phone was not idle for a long period of time. Then 3 days later the same happened overnight, I woke up and the phone had no WiFi.
I tried to modify the settings related to WiFi mentioned in this thread after each failure and also decided to use the actual phone Mac address instead of the obfuscated one but the issue persisted. Now I disabled both WiFi and Bluetooth scans to see how it goes.
I use a Nest WiFi Pro with 3 mesh points at home. Did anyone had the issue while using a single router?
