WiFi does not reconnect after sleep mode

My setting at “Keep WiFi on during sleep” is set on “only while charging”. When the phone is in sleep mode the wifi goes off. When I activate the phone again wifi doesn’t reconnect. It states “connection broken”. I tried to switch WiFi off and on, clicking on the network and then on connect. The only thing that seems to help is restarting my phone. It’s been tested at home with full wifi signal.
Does anyone have ideas to solve this?

You might try enable/disable flight mode as a workaround.

Thank you Volker, the flight mode trick does it’s work as work around.

Still I would like a permanent solution.

As far as I know the topic and workaround are in the bugtracker list. So there’s hope for a permanent solution.
