Who wants to swap their FP2 for my FP4?

It’s a month old, but I need my FM-radio and Android 7 back, as well as the audio jack.
If you have a fairly new FP2, let me know…

Maybe keep in mind that the FP2 is already very old and probably wouldn’t last you that long anymore. If I were you, I would ask for a FP3 instead, which also has an aux port, although no radio receiver.
I also miss those features btw (especially the aux port, I’m still angry about this and will be for the next couple years)

Just get one of those old small USB stick MP3 players which can do FM radio from eBay. Will probably last longer and prevent you from getting rapid pulse or a gastric ulcer with every smartphone not having FM radio and an audio jack these days.

(I’m using one since back in the Middle Ages when it was new, and I’m not giving it to you  .)

Edit: I just realise there are vendors still producing new ones (well, the tech is still old, but … anyway, there are also new ones around).

I have got an old FP2 running and just updated to the last version. Its used, not new, if you want to have some pictures, let me know.

I am seriously thinking about getting either a refurbished FP2 or the
German Shift5m phone…

I can’t find any on eBay, do you have a link>?

Something like this?

Here’s the old, nostalgic form factor … several vendors on eBay sell those … https://www.ebay.de/itm/385283999482

Here’s a newer one with better display and an SD card slot (only necessary if you really want it to play a lot of files) … https://www.ebay.de/itm/185475440688

If you see this thing here second hand somewhere … I can attest to it still being brilliant after 10+ years — https://www.google.com/search?q=archos+key+4gb&source=lnms&tbm=isch

Thanks elk. a lot of useful tips. Some are good, some are too expensive. Ideally it should be one I can fit into the phone case of the FP4, so, like the size of an iPod Nano,

I’m not quite sure what you mean. The iPod Nano sure got small over time, but … fit into the phone case?

I have a working FP2 in fairly good condition fitted with a USB-C connector bottom module. DM me if that’s of interest for you

… Hi, how do earPhones work
.
without the audioSocket❓

C.

Either wireless via Bluetooth (example) or wired via a USB-C audio adapter (example).

(I don’t own or use any of the example products, they’re just examples for the respective concept, there are other products available by other vendors which do the same job.)

the iPod Radio could fit, with some difficulty, depends how loose the phone case is.
