White dot when touching display

Hello,
perhaps I’m only not able to find it in the settings, then please just tell me what I have to do…
For two days a small white dot appears when I touch the display. The display itself is working properly so it’s no real fault but a setting ‘problem’. To me it seems that this dot got bigger since two days. Can somebody tell me if my impression is right and if I can change the dot’s size back to it’s former size?
I Hope I could explain correctly what I mean.

I’m unsure if you’re wanting the dots off or just made smaller in size.
I think “Show Taps” in developer options can only be turned on and off.
