Hi all!
I am unable to login on WhatsApp on my new fairphone 6 with pre installed /e/OS, updated to /e/OS 4. I want to transfer my chat history from my old iPhone, but to do this I need to login and I can’t even get this done. I am stuck on the login screen as shown in the photo below.
I have tried:
-reinstall WhatsApp
-restart fairphone
-downloaded WhatsApp from both App Lounge and Aurora Store
Anyone else have this issue?

If your number is 0612345678,
then you enter after the landcode 612345678
I had the issue of restoring WhatsApp on stock android cause apparently I didn’t choose the password before backing it up…
Not sure if that helps on apple->eOS transfer though.
I have exactly the same issue. I have my phone now 2 days, installed whatsapp. After typing my phone number and click next, it shown “connecting”. It stops after a few seconds and goes back to the previous screen. How to solve this? I tried with and without the 0 after the country code.
My previous phone where whatsapp is working is an android phone.
Logging in on whatsapp worked with a different phone number on the FP6 /e/OS. With this different phone number I logged in on both the old and new phone. Than I signed-out on both phones. On the last phone I had to deleted the WhatsApp account to sign-out. After that signing in on my new phone worked.
