Water Contact - what modules should I change?

Hello,

my FP3 fell into the sink today. I took it out the second it fell and dried the outside immediately. There seemed to be no water inside but apparently I was not quick enough. The following things work:

  • the phone runs normally. I can switch it on and off.
  • it rings when a person calls me
  • the alarm clock seems to work
  • I can use all the apps and the internet, send messages etc. etc.

what doesn’t work:

  • I can’t hear people on the phone - just if I switch on the loudspeaker
  • people can’t hear me
  • I can’t play music over the inbuilt loudspeakers

I would really appreciate if somebody could help me with the modules I have to change. It confuses me that the phone rings / the loudspeaker works when having a call but that I can’t play music. Thanks very much in advance

You will have to take the phone apart and let it dry more / longer.

As said by Bert, let it dry at least a few days. Water damage is not always visible.
Once you have left the things dry enough, you could contact a #fairphoneangel to test spare parts.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you, there may still be some hope :crossed_fingers:
