USB to Audio jack adapter

Hello all,

I have an issue with my Fairphone USB-C to audio jack adapter:

My Fairphone just would not play sound via the adapter anymore. When I plug it in, nothing happenes except in the notification bar it says “USB device is being charged”.

In the USB settings I can´t change “Device, that controls this USB-connection” from “connected device” to “this device”. I don´t know if that has something to do with it.

Can anyone help?

My Fairphone is currently up to date and everything else works as intended.

I have exactly the same issue. I’m using the official dongle from Fairphone. See no reason why this should not work, since I bought it for this reason only…

Thank god, I thought I was the only one on the planet.

I did not try to reset the phone yet since adjusting every app is a lot of work for me. Anyone?

No, I use the official Fairphone USB top audio Jack Adapter, available via online Shop. It does not allow to Charge the Phone, but obviously the Phone ist trying to charge the USB Adapter, not recognizing what Kind of service it is.

I encounter also this error, as I already reported in the forum post below.

However in my case:

  • sound is working with earplugs/headphones :white_check_mark:
  • sound is NOT working with my car :red_car:
