oh, pls don’t take me wrong, I’m not blaming FP !
I just wanted to make sure my assumption is correct. I fully understand SW can’t be upgraded forever on a given platform - and personally I probably wouldn’t go to another major OS update (14) anyway, as each one makes the device slower (just like Windows ;-)) - offline maps apps a.o. are already soooo slow with the FP3 today…
I’ll plan for a FP6 next year then, (my FP3 will be 6y old by then which is OK for me, but my sister’s is much younger, she’ll be upset against the “pesky” IT industry 
)
(PS my wife’s Win10 PC is 12y old and hence must be phased out: it’s a MS Surface Pro 3, its decent screen and tablet form factor will make it a perfect photo frame 
)
