Lol no I don’t have that image.
It was probably put there by an app you installed I guess?

move along, nothing to see

There are so many nasty jokes that can be made right now, I don’t know where to begin :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually I have it as well. Along with a crow sitting on a cross, a remotely winXP-like landscape and several single-color graphics. They are all called lcd_test00 to 07.

Have those too…

Me too!
I suppose they’re installed as system files not by any malware (at least I hope :stuck_out_tongue: )

Phew, yup that’s them, I wonder what else is on there that I don’t know about.

I see the same photo in Flickr with the same filename https://www.flickr.com/photos/39176179@N06/15230391564/

Maybe they are used by the manufacturer to test any inconsitencies in the LCD displays?

Oh yeah now I found them on my phone too.

I believe it’s not an apple but a tomato and her name is Atsuko Maeda.
Maybe theese images were used as preinstalled wallpapers for the original phone that fairphone modified?

Just for the record: this is not an apple.

The crow on the cross is ominous. Winter is coming.

I didn’t find themon my phone :frowning:

Don’t worry. I think you would have to use an explorer which can show you the phone’s internal partition/data folders. OI File explorer can do that, e.g…

I did use ES File Explorer, but the file name didn’t show any results… So I guess not every phone has these pictures.

ohhh the suspension, I can barely take it anymore…

WHAT ARE THESE IMAGES DOING THERE!!!

This topic made me curious.
So I looked in my FP and found this image too.

The files in the folder /res/images are named:
lcd_test_00.png
lcd_test_01.png
lcd_test_02.png
lcd_test_03.png
lcd_test_04.png
lcd_test_05.png (the image of this topic)
lcd_test_06.png (also a interesting image)
lcd_test_07.png

For me this context seems clear: Somebody from the developers used theese files to test the display - and forgot to delete them.
Thats is human, nothing about to worry.

Best regards
Bobby

BTW: In the folder /res/sound are two also funny files:
ringtone.wav and
testpattern1.wav

Its very interesting when you listen to them with maximum volume!

This will be my favorite ringtone…

Best regards
Bobby

@Bobby you will be making best friends with your new ringtone for sure

(I also love it, but my colleagues here at Fairphone would kill me after being called only once or twice already :stuck_out_tongue: .

Once I found two videos somewhere in the root directory - but I no longer remember where.

Oh, I can’t take it! :hear_no_evil: xD
