Unable to unlock bootloader, IMEI not recognized

Hello,

I did buy a Fairphone 6 at Fairphone shop website.

I am trying to unlock the bootloader and it fails with an error telling me to try again or to ask support.

I did try by getting code for unlocking, it says it does not find my IMEI.

I’m on Fairphone OS.

Do other people experience this issue ?

Best is to update the OS you no longer need the code to unlock the bootloader

I did update it to FP6.QREL.16.95.0 already

And you cant just enable OEM unlocking, it still asks a code?

I disabled and could re-anable without issues, so rather an issue for you/your device.

You are connected to wifi, correct? Can you test with mobile data? Do you have any VPN or anything blocking internet in any way active?

I did try on wifi and mobile data, on different wifi networks, without filtering and still the same result.

Is it because when trying with code, it cant find my IMEI?

No idea, I guess you have to ask support on Monday

I did open a ticket yesterday and today it seems to be fixed, did not know they work on Sundays

Pretty sure they dont..so mostlikely rather a coincidence.
