Unable to pair with a bluetooth autoradio

Hi,

I am trying to synchronise my FP5 with a bluetooth autoradio Blaupunkt (bpa1123bt). The device does appear on my phone but whenever I try to pair, it goes round and round and nothing happens. Here are some specs of the autoradio

Supported profiles: A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, SPP
Audio Codecs: SBC

Is there an incompatibility? Has anyone an idea to solve the problem? Thanks a lot!

Maybe too obvious, though it wasn’t for me when this phone was new.
I tried to pair it to a radio receiver with quite good sound. 100 times better, of course, than the phone’s own speakers.

But it didn’t seem to pair. It had been paired with a Samsung phone, unpaired when I switched to fp4.
Fp4 had been working fine too.
Needed a second phone in our house so … upgrade mine to fp5.

And hey, it wouldn’t pair to the sound system?

It took a while before finding - in this forum - that pushing longer (much longer) on the radio’s pairing button might work.
And it did.

Did you try that long-verylong-push ? For me it wasn’t obvious back then. Learning goes on.

Hi, I’ve decided to send back the radio as it was invisible from an iPhone. At least my FP5 sees it, albeit can’t connect. There was no button to push on the radio, it was just waiting to be paired…

Thanks anyway

Hi, my experience was that the device should be disconnected from other devices (phones, laptops, etc.) and put into the pairing mode. Sometimes it was not clear what exactly that means and how to achieve that - but long press was one of the options.
