UI Glitch: Home screen flashes briefly when exiting apps in Fairphone Moments (December Update)

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed a small but distracting UI bug after installing the latest December update on my Fairphone 6.

The issue:

When I activate Fairphone Moments via the Lime Switch and start using my selected apps, I encounter a transition glitch. Every time I exit one of the selected apps, the phone briefly displays my standard Home screen for a split second before correctly loading the Fairphone Moments screen.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Activate Fairphone Moments using the Lime Switch.
  2. Open any allowed app.
  3. Exit the app (using gestures).

Observation: The main Home screen flashes briefly before the Moments interface appears.

This behavior started immediately after the latest system update. Before the update, the transition back to the Moments screen was seamless.

Is anyone else experiencing this “double loading” or flashing effect? Any tips would be appreciated!

I tried to look for a forum post, but couldn’t find it. As far as I know, the issue has been reported before and Fairphone is working on improving the Moments feature. I’ve also observed this behaviour since the initial software release (June 2025).

Thanks for the info! Interestingly, I’ve been using my Fairphone since January, and I haven’t experienced this issue at all until now. I recall hearing that this bug was present during the initial launch, but I was under the impression it had been fixed in a subsequent update.

That’s why it was so surprising to see it resurface immediately after the December update. It seems like a regression, as the transition was perfectly seamless for me throughout the past month.
