Well, if the FP team partners with Canonical it could happen.
I suggest you wait for a blog post concerning software development that was announced.
Right now, nobody in the forum can give you a definite answer to that question.

As @Xaedil said nobody on the forum can answer this question right now. The FP team will be communicating the journey to the new FP2 as and when they have information. So keep reading the blogs and you’ll get any information as it breaks. The FP team are aware that people want to use other OS’s and I’m sure they’ll do everything they can to deliver this…
