The buttons on my fairbuds XL don’t work except the joystick for turinig on /off and pausing the music. Pushing it up/down/right/left doesn’t do anything. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t but the last five times I’ve tried it didn’t work.
Pushing the button for ANC doesn’t do anything either. From my understanding a voice is supposed to tell me what mode I’m on? I don’t feel any difference whichever way I’m pushing it, be it short pushes or long ones, nothing happens.
No it wasn’t exposed to water.
Yes it was working before.
The issue appeared in the last week I would say.
It’s the way it doesn’t function that perplexes me. Shouldn’t all the function of the button not work? Why can I still pause the music but not up/down the volume or skip forward/backward?
Genuine question: Why would exposure to water break only the button? It still charges and play music normally.
Water damage can be a slow process of breaking down a device. It could start with just a volume button not working and corrode other components over time until it’s dead.
The button should indeed work. There is no way to disable the functionality. You could report it for a warranty replacement, if valid. Or replace the module.
I think it may be an issue with the Bluetooth function as when I tried switching the volume with the headset connected with a cable the button worked perfectly.
Thak you for taking time out of your day to help me.
May you find help as well when you need it.
