Aachens Februar-Stammtisch vereinte zehn Fairphoner*innen und Fairphone-Interessierte mit ingesamt vier FP3, drei FP4 und einem FP6. Einer der “Dauerbrenner” konnte mit einem neuen FP3-Akku ausgestattet werden – auf ein hoffentlich noch langes Geräteleben

wie das FP3 am besten auf eine anstehende Überseereise 
vorzubereiten wäre … und ob das Gerät nach einem Tauchgang ein neues Display braucht (oder auch ein gebrauchtes aus dem lokalen Fundus der Fairphone Community Aachen) – die Touchfunktion schien das Malheur übelgenommen zu haben.
Neben dem aktuellen FP6 interessierten sowohl die Fairbuds als auch die Fairbuds XL – Noch-nicht-Nutzer*innen ebenso wie schon ausgerüstete Fairbuds XL-Nutzer, die die neue textilen Oberflächen der XL gleich mal “anprobieren” konnten. Die jüngste Audio-Aktion kam angesichts recht konkreten Kaufinteresses sehr gelegen. Und auch die längerfristig am FP6 Interessierten wurden – neben der direkten Möglichkeit, das FP6 in Augenschein und in die Hand zu nehmen – auch schon mal mit Infos zum Empfehlungsprogramm versorgt. Nicht gelöst werden konnte leider die problematische Mikrofonleistung eines FP4. In dem Zusammenhang mussten alle drei FP4-Nutzer*innen feststellen, dass der Zugang zur kompletten Palette an Hardwaretests auf dem FP4 derzeit nicht funktioniert – weder über *#*#2886#*#* noch über das Menü unter den drei Linien oben links in der App My Fairphone. In den letzten Tagen hatte sich dies schon im Forum angedeutet (hier und hier). Auf FP5 und FP6 ist der Zugang auf den beschriebenen Wegen weiterhin da. Update 15.02.2026: Ich habe das Problem zwischenzeitlich auch dem Fairphone-Kundendienst gemeldet und beschrieben – Support-Ticket Nummer 1384594.
Nicht zuletzt konnte auch unsere interne Forumsgruppe direkt etwas vergrößert werden – so trug der Abend schließlich auch zur virtuellen Vernetzung bei. Vielleicht wirken die “Neuen” so ja bei der Anbahnung des nächsten Stammtisches dann schon mit!

Others were currently pondering how to best prepare the FP3 for an overseas journey … and if the device would need a new display (or a used one from Fairphone Community Aachen’s local supply) after a recent dive – touch responsivity seemed to not have taken it very well.
Apart from the current FP6 the Fairbuds as well as the Fairbuds XL met a lot of interest – from the prospects, but also existing Fairbuds XL users who used the opportunity to try the new textile ear cushion and headband surfaces. The current audio promotion came handy for those on the brink of buying. Those with a long-term interest in the FP6 got some hints on the referral program well in advance. What could not be solved was the troubled microphone performance on one FP4’s calls. Related to this, all three FP4 users found that the extensive range of built-in hardware tests on the FP4 is currently not available in full (neither via *#*#2886#*#* nor via the three line menu in the top left of the My Fairphone app). Two similar findings had emerged on the forum in recent days (here and here)). On the FP5 and the FP6, full access to hardware tests is still intact on both ways described. Update 15 February 2026: In the meantime, I have also reported and described this issue to Fairphone Support – ticket number 1384594.
Last but not least we were also able to grow our internal forum group a little bit – so the evening contributed to our virtual networking, too. Perhaps our “newbies” will already join the scheduling of our next meetup!
