Does the FP6 support 2 eSIMs?
I agree with @AnotherElk. The sentiment about the FP5 hardware wise is great here. I have been using it with great pleasure over the last two years, and paid €200 more than you, @Tinoi. It’s a fair price for a nice phone.
I understand your sadness but the phone still has 6 out of 8 support years left, that seems great to me. Mine still behaves like new so I think you will be happy with it for many years!

Looks to me like the tech leans a bit on the Motorola Edge:
From the 2023 ME 40:
- 8GB RAM
- 256 GB space
- 4400 mAh battery
- dual camera: 50MP*, 13MP
- front camera: 32 MP
From the 2025 ME 60:
- *50MP camera upgrade
- Corning Gorilla Glass 7i
Both:
- P-OLED screen
- same connections
Note that this is not a one to one comparison.
For example the FP6 has
- a better chip than the ME 60:

The above was more looking at the specs side of things and I just found the similarities remarkable.
Does anyone here know if the Fairphone Gen 6 has an Always On Display?
This feature was/is important to me. I bought a Fairphone 5 with AOD two years ago, but the feature is gone by a software “update”.
I’m still annoyed about it, but I certainly won’t buy a Fairphone Gen 6, even if it has AOD. I don’t see any improvement over my Fairphone 5.
True. It’s on the The Fairphone (Gen. 6) FAQ (at the bottom) and it’s being discussed in this thread.
Tested the AOD funtionality yesterday. It works. Also tap to wake works.
I hope that this is allowed here, but I was just pleasantly surprised that the Fairphone Gen. 6 can be purchased in Germany at the big red and blue retailers and it falls under their current sales offer of 19% discount. This makes the new phone almost 100 € cheaper and an incredibly good deal. Just ordered mine and am very excited, the replacement comes just in time for my FP3 that’s slowly beginning to show its age.

For the FP5, it took them several months, but there is a version now. I expect there will be one for the FP6 in a couple of months. I played with it a bit on my FP4 and it seemed nice.
Yes AoD is available on the FP6.
Admittedly, I was also somewhat aggravated about the launch of a new phone less than a year from when I bought my FP5. Especially when I saw that the slogan for the launch event was “Switch Day” on Youtube and here: “Switch to the new Fairphone”. Spending a premium for “a phone that lasts”, I thought that the company too would concentrate its efforts on making the current models (FP4 and FP5) even more efficient and future proof, before making a new model. But it is what it is, and Fairphone’s two-years launch cycle is still better than the one-year cycle of other companies. And my FP5 serves me well, most of the time, so I remind myself that I’m here for the Fairness of my phone, not for the best specs for the buck etc.

As a Fairphone 5 owner, I’m hoping we will get the new camera app, with Raw support implemented in a feature update, along with Fairphone moments 
Just made some nerd calculation with a (in my eyes) remarkable result: The Fairphone (Gen. 6) takes up the second-least volume (excluding camera bump) of all six Fairphone generations, even below the FP2’s:
FP2 114.829 cm³
FP3 112.196116 cm³
FP6 110.196288 cm³
(The FP1 had just 80

The camera app/software is device/hardware specific

While from what I know FP4 and 5 were close enough to each other and therefore FP4 could profit from updates made on FP5, gen 6 has a completely different camera hardware which makes backporting difficult. Having said that, not providing a raw mode might be more a firmware issue of the vendor - but that’s guessing.
Surprise find (feel free to let me know if this was already brought up here in the forum): There is an accessory for The Fairphone (Gen. 6) in Murena’s USA shop (and not in its European one) that I cannot find in Fairphone’s own online shop:

With longevity in mind for FP-gen6, I wonder if Fairphone could be persuaded to design a FP7/gen7 with dimensions close to the FP1/2.
With amazing help from longtime FP users, I’ve held out with multiple FP2s + spare parts, primarily because of its compact - and resource-saving - dimensions, single fwd&reverse camera lens; and of course the challenge of seeing if a preferred smartphone model can last for 20 years, say!
Alternatively, if the Fairphone ethic and ethos rubs off onto other manufacturers, then hopefully one of them will produce a more compact model… and then the choice would be truly extended!
