Suggestion to improve ease of camera operation

Here are two ideas for improving ergonomics. I’m just wondering if anyone else has had similar thoughts or found solutions.

  • I often need to operate my Fairphone camera with one hand. I find the power button gets in the way of my thumb when trying to press the volume control as shutter release, while touching the right spot on the screen is extremely awkward. Holding the phone the other way round my hand obstructs the camera.

  • A very simple improvement might be to swap the position of volume and power controls.

  • Also I like to use Edutige eim001 microphone for superior audio recording but the protective rim obstructs it’s insertion. Would like to see it accommodate a slightly wider plug there.

Another reason for moving the power button is that it’s too close to the center of gravity thus preventing gimbals from holding the FP3.
