Sudden battery drain

I’ve got a Fairphone 5, just over a year old, running Android 15 (apparently up to date). I’m suddenly experiencing battery issues with it running out overnight if not plugged in (from about 50% charge) and today it dropped from more than 50% to less than 20% in an hour or so.

I’m wondering if this is a sign that the battery is on the way out, has there been a recent software issue that could be causing a continuous drain, or any other suggestions?

to further the diagnostics you could install some external app (like AccuBattery) to check the health of your battery.
Plus you could consider running the callibration

Yes I have the same issue with sudden battery drain, described here: CPU core 7 gets stuck at 100%
