Before ordering a Fairphone 4 I’d like to try it out first. This, I am looking for a store in the Frankfurt on the Main area where I can do that. Does anyone know if such stores exist?

Experience shows though that the local stores often have no FP4 at hand unless you pre-order it through them. You might need to call to find out. The chance that a shop might actually have a FP4 on stock might be a bit better with mobilcom-debitel, but that’s just a guess based on previous experience with the FP3.
