Yeah, I spoke to soon. It was back after a glorious few minutes without this. 
I donāt know if this is since the update or started earlier: Anyone else who struggles to see the contents in Internal storage in the FILES app? It only shows an apparently endlessly spinning wheel. (And the same with exernal storage ā here: USB stick plugged in)
In contrast, I had no issues seeing and transferring files to a Mac using OpenMTP.
No problems here with internal or external (SD card) storage in the āFiles by Googleā app.
The update went through smoothly. But there ist one thing I couldnāt find out. After rebooting a new symbol shows up in the upper screen. It is a phone with three waves on a white background. Maybe someone of You can give me a hint?

Received today, on both mine and my wifeās FP6 in Italy.
The fingerprint unlock works again from screen off 
I did not really find the cause, but a factory reset restored full functionality of Files by Google.
Amazing update. Aside from finally fixing the WiFi issues, it seems that the tele lens big, where pictures taken with the 2X lens would then be further cropped is also fixed?
That means that for me personally, the only open bug I still am facing is the weird looking ā4G+ā status bar icon.
No its not and there is no tele lens.
Didnāt receive the newest update on my FP6 (T-Mobile Germany) yet.

Good job, but Iād like to hear about the random reboots of FP6
I was driving recently when my Fairphone suddenly restarted. It happened out of nowhere, and I couldnāt explain it. This is a real problem for me and my job, as Iām on call; I canāt afford to have that happen. I hope this issue gets fixed.
Did this occur once?
since a couple of weeks my FP6 battery is only loading slow, also on the quick loaders that did so before. Not sure if the update is causing this. Anyone?
Hi, I donāt know just how āfastā the fast charging is, because I havenāt had my FP6 for very long and usually charge it in āEcoā mode. I have fast-charged it now and then, though, and it feels significantly faster.
