Hello,
I’m located in France with Sosh provider and no update for me. Do you know why? And how I can get the update?
As said thats a provider issue, did you ever contcat swisscom? Having FPs 8.5 years I never had any delay in receiving updates.
Why it is difficult? They have a support team as well.
Has this arrived for you yet as I am with a carrier that uses EE and I am still waiting? Thanks.
Nope. No sign of it yet. It’s strange as EE were a UK partner reseller - I bought my phone through EE directly - so they’re usually first with updates. Oh well, probably wait for the next one at this rate!
Ok thanks, at least it isnt just me waiting for it.
@kfair and @Kenny would be interesting to know which network supplier (Mobile Virtual Network Operator or MVNO) you are with on EE - I am with spusu on EE and installed the update on 27-Nov. Happy New Year!
Hi Julian I’m with EE itself. I bought the FP4 directly from EE in 2022, but I don’t think they are Fairphone resellers any more. Up until this update, they’ve released every update before the official notice has been on this site, so I’m a bit surprised by this delay. I suspect there’s been a mistake in communications and it’s got lost between the two companies, rather than any technical issues, but I’m guessing. Happy New Year to you too!
Finally, after more than 1 1/2 months, I also received the update today. I would be interested to know where the update gets stuck in the individual cases. Is there a procedure somewhere for who does what and when during the update process? There was no response from the 2 providers (SIM M-Budget, eSIM Swisscom). Only when I wrote to Fairphone Support last Friday did I get the update today? Do I write to Fairphone Support from the first day in future?
I also got the update yesterday and I am in the UK on Ecotalk carrier (EE network) so seems an odd coincidence.
