Though, I think I still have to try some other USB cables (Iām giving Fairphone the benefit of the doubt hereā¦)
Wasnāt the phone in bright sunshine? It sometimes confuses the face presence detector and the phone thinks you have the phone on your cheek, so it turns off the display.
Where can one download the image for FP4.QREL.15.17.2?
Itās not available on https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/18896094650513-How-to-manually-install-Android-on-your-Fairphone (only FP4.QREL.15.16.1 is available).
The button just wonāt work, no matter how you press it. It should still work even if the sensor has been exposed to too much light. Itās completely erratic. The volume buttons arenāt working either. But five minutes later, they start working again. Or if you take the battery out and put it back in, it works again too.
Today I had the chance to quickly verify my Android Auto issue on a different vehicle, with a different cable, and neither this car didnāt recognize my phone.
I would say this seems to confirm that the system update broke my Android Auto setup.
Iāll see if thereās something I can do to fix it. Maybe clearing data and/or cache?
Hello,
Yes, maybe delete your car from the options of Android Auto before connecting you phone again?
Also did you try to connect someone else phone to your car, just in case it is your car the problem (just brainstorming ![]()
)?
Hi,
yes, I tried all of that, and all hints at a problem on the phone.
One additional finding: the USB tethering also seems to be broken, which would hint at more fundamental cabled connectivity issues, not just something related to Android Auto.
There a new update. Perhaps it helps.
