Stuck? Its a new update which seems to be rolled out since yesterday? Moving your comment, kindly read above
I was still on A13 when I got the TP32.C.0144 update offered. I never got the A15 update offered (because I’m on the Orange BE network I suppose).
Thanks! ![]()
That gives me some hope that I will get it too, eventually.
Strange, I got it despite being on Orange FR. Go figure. ![]()
Good, good, this time the update looks like a more reasonable 26.73 MB.
You didn’t tell us though which provider you use.
I use Orange, France. I had this security update with android 13. Not android 15 at the moment.
It was confirmed those who already upgraded to A15 should not longer see the A13 update.
Hi everyone
I am also concerned about known issues with A15 upgrade
It seems there is still an issue related with recovery on latest A13 update of November…
does many people have good experience with it or not?
I also could not find any FP4.TP32.C.0144 package for manual install
I had Orange France network for A13 update, but I cannot remember if FP published or not an “LTS” update like this one on their website
Thanks! ![]()
Got the TP32.C.0144 update yesterday evening, indeed only 27 MB, not 2 GB, which means the version SdH got earlier was somehow “different”. I’ll refrain from speculating how.
The small TP32.C.0144 version installed without problem and set my Security patch level to November 5th 2025.
Apparently the current TP32.C.0144 Security update for A13 is safe (got mine from Orange FR).
The problems apparently happened with an earlier/different, much bigger version: The “good” version of TP32.C.0144 is 26.73 MB (see screenshot above), the “bad” version apparently is/was 2.15 GB (see screenshot above).
Thanks @KurtF I understand now
it is a bit tricky
Happy to hear you have a good experience with this update
I will consider to use it instead of upgrading to A15 once published (at least until A15 is enough stable for my uses)
I would definitely wait, especially since we now have A13 Security updates.
As it is now A15 is a mess which will make your FP4 almost unusable, especially if you’re an Orange FR user… On the other hand, I guess that by the time Orange FR offers us the A15 update, one can hope that the 3 worst bugs (restarts, launcher crash and apps dying) will have been fixed (or at least alleviated).
It would be the second time being on Orange FR saves me from a buggy Fairphone upgrade… ![]()
There was nothing different in the update the difference was on the device
So stop spreading such
To Kurt’s defense: an A13 update shouldn’t have been offered to phones already on A15. That’s an error that has been made.
So while the 2 GB is totally normal and expectable in this situation, the situation itself was “bad” and shouldn’t have happened.
IMHO it’s quite natural to suspect something fishy if an update that is supposed to just contain security updates is gigabytes in size.
Release notes have been published
Current version for users with network provider Orange France and Orange Belgium
-IMPORTANT-
If your device is currently running Android 15, you must NOT install this software update version if it is offered to you.
FP4.TP32.C.0144
Release date: 24 November 2025
Android version: 13
Security patch level: November 2025
Changes:
- Security patch level.
Hey,
SFR (RED) user here and still on september 25 security update. No updates were offered to me so far, even when manually looking for them.
Anyone else?
Is it possible to get the last safety update for Android 13 (FP4.TP32.C.014) when you are not on an Orange network? And if so is it safe to install when using the KPN network?
I was offered the Android 15 upgrade (QREL.15.14.3) but read about all the reboot issues, so I haven’t installed yet. I would like the November security patch though.
I guess you’re unlucky. The 15.15 update which bricked some phones was maybe containing a fix for Orange users. However, that update was recalled in favor of 15.14, which is however only a security patch over the first A15 update, which is known to not work for Orange users. So I guess you’ll have to wait even a little bit more. I can even imagine they could release another A13 version for Orange users.
Well, I was offered that one (current patch status “November 5th 2025”) weeks ago, but then again I am an Orange user. ![]()
Could you get it? I guess it depends on how Fairphone distributed it: If they only distributed it to Orange users, or to all FP4 users still running A13.
I would advise against temporarily borrowing somebody’s Orange SIM though, as this will also load instantly a lot of Orange bloatware on your phone (which you mostly can remove again, but who needs the hassle).
A family member of mine is an Orange eSIM user on FP4.
They currently and to their knowledge always have only had the upgrade to A15 offered (FP4.QREL.15.14.3)
We’re going to refrain from upgrading for now, but we would like to update to FP4.TP32.C.0144
- Does anyone know something that can be attempted to trigger it?
- Can we get rid of the regular full-screen and notification reminders to upgrade? As a notification purist, this is starting to get really annoying to them.
Thanks!
Hello
are they in France or Belgium?
What build are they currently on? FP4.TP31.C.0143?
My reasonable guess is there will be no more scheduled(*) updates for Android 13 and all FP4s will be slowly moving towards A15.
(*) I see the patch you mention as a temporary solution for some Orange users issues.
