Skip Internet restrictions

Sometimes certain apps (e.g. Spotify’s) are captured on public wiFi. Is there any way to get around these restrictions?

If they don’t block it, a vpn or tor might help, but then, sometimes the blocking is for giving all users an equally good experience, and not having one user using up all available bandwidth on a shared network

Is there a solution if they block it?

I guess not unless you are a mighty hacker.

Consider using/purchasing a service that allows you to do what you want, rather than trying to act against the terms and conditions of the one you’re on now.

… and, as @lklaus already posted, such restrictions regularely are serving a practicall purpose.
Just a few users on spotify etc. could render the public WiFi useless for all, as the given bandwith does not comply with streaming services for an open public.
