Why is it so hard to install custom fonts on Android? All that customisation we’re used to on Linux but a system based on it cannot deal with that?
I am using a FP4 and would love to be able to select a different font.
Maybe it’s time I root the phone. Never tried it. Is it even necessary?

if you run a Linux OS with a regular user account and don’t use root or superuser credential, you won’t be able to change much of the system files. same goes for Android. there’s a Magisk module that lets you change fonts, but since it touches the system files, you will have to root your device in order to use it.
I do run Linux but I don’t need a sudo to install a font. Also, sudo is a command that lives briefly. Rooting sounds opening things up.
