Selfie camera not working fair phone 4

My selfie camera is only responding to shades of darkness and light, but not capturing any image. I changed the screen recently. Did I damage the camera by doing this? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps there is a connector not good connected.
I suggest you open the phone and reposition the camera.

AFAIK there might be a transparent protection sticker at the back of the display that covers the hole for the selfie camera. Please check if it’s still there.
