Hi everyone,
I had to make a sad decision, which was to return my Fairphone 6, which I bought last week. I will not get into all the reasons why here because I have a question.
As soon as I setup my Fairphone last week, I was prompted to register it for extended warranty in Fairphone app, and I did so.
I bought it from an official reseller (Cyberport) and I returned it directly at their store. I asked there if I should do anything like somehow deregister the device, but they told me they don’t know and I should ask Fairphone.
I logged into my Fairphone account on the Fairphone’s website but didn’t see anything there regarding my extended warranty (maybe I just don’t know where to click)?
Has anyone else returned their phone after registering for extended warranty? What did you have to do? Did you have to deregister the device from Fairphone’s website or the app somehow? Do I even need to do anything?
Lastly, since this will probably be my last thread here for a while, I want to say a big thank you to everyone. While I had issues with the phone, I am really happy that I got to interact with this community. Everyone has been extremely helpful and a pleasure to interact with, and this is not something I am use to from other internet spaces!
I might buy it again in the future (maybe a year from now), when all the issues I had are cleared.
