Hey! I’ve been trying to buy Fairphone 6 since November last year but the shop wouldn’t let me use the referral code (UK). I created a support ticket, and we have been going back and forth for over 2 months now. After I suggested creating an invoice for me and sell me the phone so that I wouldn’t have to wait for them to fix the issue, they stopped responding. That was over 2 weeks ago. Has anyone else dealt with a situation like this? I like Fairphone’s concept and think they are better than competitors, plus my phone’s battery degraded to the point that I have to charge it twice a day, but they really make me feel like they don’t want to sell me the phone, and if this is how they deal with customer issues before purchase, I’m scared to think how they handle issues of those who managed to buy something.
Welcome to the Community Forum. – Have you tried buying using a different browser? I encountered issues with using the referral code in Firefox and it did work in other browsers.
Have you tried the chat option?
Last time I tried, I was able to talk to a helpful agent within 10 minutes or so.

Yes, I tried multiple browsers, devices, and connections. Sad thing is, I found a bug they didn’t know about while trying out different options, so it felt like I was doing their job for them.
I created a ticket first and then followed up in the chat twice in a span of the first few weeks, but it didn’t really speed up things. They eventually came back with a couple of codes, first just referral codes that didn’t work, then referral and the one imitating the Black Friday deal, but I don’t know if they tried them themselves, because they only worked for me when one of them was used. If I tried to use both, the second one always failed (I tried different browsers, applying 1 first and then the other and vice versa, applying them in the basket and the checkout…).
I tried them again just now hoping maybe they fixed it and the BF deal one is just plain not working anymore. Honestly, I’m losing hope.

from what I noticed the referral bug is being working on.
the BF deals and other similar codes do not always work with other discounts - most often intentionally (see below), but sometimes not so

Nope. The friend you referred cannot use the discount together with any other sales promotions or discount codes.

Yes, it would be great to get some sort of timeline on when they are hoping to finish the works, or at least get a chance to buy a phone while they are working on resolution. Sorry for venting, I’m just a tad frustrated after 2 months of this 
Yep, that’s what I thought was going on, too, but my husband used a referral code during the BF sale, and successfully got both the deal and the referral discount
