Push notifications for 'Messages'

Hello, I have a FP2, and have just updated to OS 17.08.8

The update altered my notification settings changed the app which I receive SMS messages on.

I have just changed this back to ‘Messages’

How do I get push notifications for Messages ?

I finally just found the solution : 1/ Open parameters 2/ Choose applications (and not "sounds and notification "!) 3/ Choose "Messages" 4/ And there unblock notification (it was blocked by default here in fact there) Hope it helps !

Since the update I appear to be using Messenger instead of Messages, but I’ve also lost the icon that gives me a list of my recent messages. This means I now have to know whose message I’m looking for and look them up in ‘contacts’, in exchange for this I now have two telephone icons which do exactly the same thing.

Firstly, does anyone know how I get my recent messages icon back, and secondly, is it safe to delete one of the telephone icons?
