Problems with usb-c/jack audio adapters

Hello,
I’m having a problem listening to sounds with headphones.
I use headphones with a jack plug that I connect to the Fairphone 4 with a usb-c adapter (siipro se-23c).
The volume increases gradually after each silence. I can’t hear the first few seconds that follow. I have the impression that the phone no longer powers the adapter when it has no sound to send and that there is a latency when it re-powers it.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?
Thanks for your help.
Martin

Have you tried another “adapter” (actually it is a sound card so I’d rather suspect a software problem) ?

Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to try any other adapters.

One of the better adapters I’ve found is the Jcally JM6 Pro (which uses a CX31993 DAC + MAX97220 amp)

  1. It outputs a good amount of voltage, without shredding your battery like some high powered adapters do
  2. The DAC is inside the USB-C connector rather than inside the jack, which reduces the likelihood of the sound cutting out if the connection is not 100% right
  3. It’s cheap

I’d still rather the phone have an internal DAC and a headphone jack, but this is one of the better ones I’ve tried.

Could this be an automatic level control of some sort?

Check out both DAC documentation and your app.
