Hi - does anyone have any advice. I love my fairphone 5 and have become an ambassoador, having converyted a number of friends. I tried the Fairbuds and while a great Idea - it is fundamentally a poor product and after breaking both side bands in separate incidents, (I understnd this is a regular problem), I then had terrible service from Fairphone which felt a suprise.
The first time Fairphone sent me a voucher that did not cover the cost of replacement, the second they refused to do anything. Both times within my warranty period.
Is this a common problem and how have people resolved it?
I certainly would never recommend the XL sorry.
Does the support not responded or you just got a “deal with it” response? Could you post it there if possible?
You mean this happened?
First time I replaced it myself and got sent a voucher not covering the cost (after an effort having to send proof of purchase from Amazon) second time I got the opposite response and a sign off that wished me a lovely day!
“since you did not purchase your Fairbuds XL with an authorised Fairphone reseller. We are therefore unable to provide an in-warranty replacement for the headband base. We thank you for your understanding.
Wishing you a lovely day,”
The issue is as much about the poor product design with an obvious weakness which is such a shame.
Where did you bought it that you got this response? That isn’t really good.
normally warranty claims have to be handled by the reseller, so did you contact Amazon?
