@Sideness Thanks for your kind offer, but this seems a little to dangerous to me. Things might (and probably will) have changed between the respective install processes, so I prefer to wait.

@Johannes Thanks for this detailed information! This explains the procedure for smartphones sold by the carrier with carrier specific ROMs. But imho it makes no sense for “neutral” smartphones purchased independently from the carrier.
Anyway - if it’s just a delay of a few days, I’ll patiently wait.
I have installed Nova launcher for now. No date bar, no google search bar.

I can confirm - none of those issues with nova launcher. Using it for a long time already. And happy about.
With the update to Android 10 it strangely does not show the network connection (neither WiFi or mobile) anymore in the top right corner of the status bar. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Hm, something the zip file for the manual installation seems corrupt. I have the same sha256sum
(33eead130c19ff33505b1f917518ca00082e907ec7d745cd8742e3766bdc560b)
as the download website mentions, so I think it’s downloaded correctly.
But when I extract this I get some zip errors when processing the system.img file.
Does this only happen to me?
There’s another topic that mentions issues with system.img here, so probably it’s not just you.

DON’T flash that version, I did it because I am quite stupid and new to flashing thing into my phone and boy it got me in trouble, see my topic as @Johannes mentioned.

Another issue with gesture navigation enabled… Is there no way to go back in Chrome?
For me Android 10 is working well, and it seems to be a bit more responsive. There is one thing that is annoying, and it is right on the home screen. My weather online widget cannot be expanded over the Day and time

Yes, the zip file seems broken even though the sha256 is correct:

At least one error was detected in FP3-REL-Q-3.A.0033-20200815.010936-user-fastbootimage.zip.

Swiping from the left-bottom into the screen doesn’t work as expected? Do you only have the problem with Chrome?

That works @Sideness, thanks. I didn’t know about those gestures in Chrome. For others that are struggling: it’s the side edge of the screen. Forward also works on the right side.

which has all kinds of wallpapers from Unsplash. Maybe you can find something there that pleases your eye.
I’m on HollandsNieuwe, which is the Vodafone network. I just switch of my SIM and then I can update over WiFi.

Android 10 also has security patchlevel of July. And I’ve seen some (french) user posting a screenshow of their updater that didn’t say anything about Android 10.
But if the buildnumber is A.0033 and the download size larger than 1 GB it is Android 10 even if the updater doesn’t say so.
