Official LineageOS 22.1 for Fairphone 3/3+

This didn’t happen before they added the “fog” animation that plays for a few seconds upon pressing play, could we perhaps disable that ?

I confirm this, which is pretty much the only place my FP3 struggles a bit. Every other area is pretty much flawless, and RAM usage for me is about 1.5 GB average.

I came from a phone with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage, so maybe I have a different tolerance for slowness then most people.

Hey folks - I just plugged in a headphone jack (for the first time in a while) and my FP3 rebooted. And I can reproduce it, so I figured I would share the details. Is this the right place for a bug report?

Hello,

I did have this earlier, then replacing top module did fix this. It might also be an hardware issue on your side.

You probably need to know that this jack connector is fragile.

Huh ok! I hadn’t considered this.
I do have a spare FP3 for parts - if I get chance I’ll try swapping them.

I seem to remember this happening to me, but it was bad headphones, not the phone itself. I recommend trying other headphones before swapping parts

As a side-note, my phone recently bootlopped after falling down he stairs, but it ended up booting again after I tried “mount/unmount system” in the recovery - although I’m not sure this is the actual thing that made it working again.

Any precautions or diagnosis I should conduct besides backing up my data ? Is this normal or has this ever happened to you ?

Apart from that my sturdy boy didn’t get a single scratch from tumbling down three flights of stairs, I’m impressed ! :star_struck:

Thanks Lurux - the headphones work fine on other devices, but you’re right - I should test other headphones on this device before I swap anything. Thanks for the suggestion!

My calendar (Etar) doesn’t remind me any longer when an event was set. Anyone else experiencing the same?

((Ok, a restart solved it…:face_with_peeking_eye:))

But very unfortunately only yesterday!

Today no notifications again!

As I have both Fairphone 6 ard still 3 with calendars synced, I can confirm only my Fairphone 6 is reminding me events.

My Fairphone 3 remains unnoticed.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Is that an Etar Problem or OS?

Hello,

I use Ethar on LineageOS for microG and I remember the alarms well.

Axel.

Hi @Teamb58. thanks for what you do. Only a clarification, with kernel 4.14 should be possible have lineageos 23.0 AOSP 16 QPR0?

Yes, 4.14 maintainers were able to backport BPF changes till 5.10. So, 23.2 works fine on those devices.

Unfortunately, 4.9 requires not just bpf but a few more that’s available in 4.14 if they were to be backported.

@TeamB58 You have been very active in the last week! There are lots of changes. Is this something to look forward to?

Nothing much unfortunately.

Thank you. OK, I ran through a lot of options in Etar an Calendar and found some option to “plan notification” or something similar. After activating I got notified again continously. Whatever the reason for the stop of the notification has been…

Hey, i know it’s not the same device but if you can think it can help, it would be nice

On the galaxy S9 (and the whole series), they made LineageOS 24 work on kernel 4.9, even if it’s a Exynos, maybe you can grab hint from the commits

Can you point me to the source of this info?
