I noticed that some smartphone users have an interesting function. When they called me and my phone is off, they get a notification when my phone is turned back on. Does the Fairphone OS has that function or can I retrieve it with an app?
Do they get an SMS or an actual notification (like when a new Fairphone update is available)?
My first thought was that this is managed by your operator (e.g. they see that your SIM is active again because it logs into their cell tower).
I trink Stefan is right: this is an operator-specific feature. I seem to remember using it years ago in Germany, with e-plus on my Nokia 6130. Nothing smartphony.
