Notification LED not working since Update to Android 6

Since update to Android 6 (Fairphone Open 17.06.4) no notifications are passed to the notification led. Only battery status colors are shown when charging is going on.
Previously with Android 5 everything was fine.

I couldn’t find any settings for the notification led, nor in OS and my apps as calender etc.

Any ideas how to fix this, am I the only one with this problem? In my understanding this should be a base functionality without manual config changes or additional apps.

Just got a brand new one, and although for a short while they seemed to have worked, I havent been getting any led notifications anymore either.
