Each time I receive a notification, I receive two vibrations. How do I change this to one?

This is the standard vibration mode of Android Lollipop. As far as I know it can only be changed in the app causing the notification. For instance, in Telegram I can choose between the following: Standard (“brrrr-brrrr”), Short (“br”) and Long (“brrrrrr”). In Whatsapp, this should be similar. I don’t know about other apps, but anyhow the vibration settings are made in each app.
