I just recently experienced that there’s no sound in my Bluetooth headphones even if connected with my phone. This never happened before. Volume is up, and everything should be as they’re always been while working. Tried to disconnect headphones and phone both by the Bluetooth enabling “button” and by switching off and on the headphones. I even tried to restart the phone, but no luck… What could I do? I’ve had the phone since end of April. This is the first time I got this issue.

Is your device able to play the sound without the headphones?
Does it recognize that there is connection and as a result - it does not play any sound?
Could you re-pair the set?
Could you try with other BT devices?
Yes, the connection is recognized, and the phone plays audio from itself without Bluetooth enabled. I could try to re-pair the headphones, I haven’t tried that, and will also try to connect with my husband’s headphones to see if they get sound if the re-pairing doesn’t help.
Actually this is the weirdest thing. My phone works with my husband’s headphones (same brand), and my headphones work with my Mac, but still no sound when wanting to use them with my phone

Yes, they are paired to for example my Mac. But even though I disable Bluetooth with any other device, and even after having my phone “forget” them, they won’t even connect to my phone. The connect “button” simply doesn’t react. And since my husband hasn’t Fairphone, if my headphones do connect with my Mac, what difference would it make trying with my husband’s phone?
Experiencing the same issue since today. Worked fine this morning. Using a fairphone 6 with a pair of Sony wh-1000xm5 headphones. Tried the following:
- Turning the headphones off and on
- Turning the phone off and on
- Closing/opening different apps
- Forgetting the headphones in settings and reconnecting.
- Different Bluetooth audio codec
- Checking the Sony Audio Connect app for troubleshooting
- Playing music on my car worked fine through Bluetooth
- Playing on a different Bluetooth headset (shokz)
Will try with another device but not sure if there’s any other options besides that?
