My FP6 is not charging

I have a new phone and it simply won’t charge with the charging cable; the percentage remains constant and doesn’t decrease when it’s plugged in.
When I charge it with a power bank or in the car, it works.
I’ve already turned it off and on again several times.
I’ve also tried different cables and plugs. I’ve also tried different settings (battery saving, fast charging, etc.).
Does anyone else have the same problem?

So it charges just not with a specific cable or rather charger?

Same. My old Samsung charger has a similar issue with my FP6. It is a little silly, I’ve kept it around and now I can’t use it with my sustainable phone.

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be the charger I was using. I had two old chargers from some Samsung phones (when new phones came with chargers in the box). One worked and the other did not. They looked identical but were different models and i guess different certification for fast charge or adaptive charge abilities. I used a watt meter to see what was happening.

To check your issue, go into the setting menu on your phone, then the battery submenu. Connect to the charger. On the battery menu it should say its charging or charging rapidly. (I’m using /e/OS so it might be a little differed on Google Android.

You might think the phone is not charging, but after a few minutes, if it registers an amount of time before fully charged, then your phone is charging very slowly.

If that happens, my guess is your issue is charger compatibility. Try a new charger with modern specs and see if that works.

My phone looked like it was charging the battery symbol showed charging but the percent didn’t go up. I tried charging while the phone was off, and it did everything it should to show it was charging, but the percent was not going up. When I swapped chargers, everything worked.

The white USB charger on the left registers 10 watts on the meter while charging. The black one on the right goes from 10 watts to zero with a second or two. The battery icon on the FP6 shows the phone is charging and the battery menu shows a time to full, so it is charging. Just really slowly at less than my watt meter can measure. These chargers are different models and from different generations of Samsung phones. I assume it has to do with what version of adaptive charge they are capable of. I used the came charge/data cable during the test.

Hello, my new FP6 would not charge with the charger I used for my FP3 which was 18W. I found another charger which is 24W and it’s working fine.

BUT the FP6 user manual says, “for safest and fastest charging use a charger of at least 30W and programmable power supply…” How much does this matter if the phone is charging ok? Should I just buy one?
