Because regular money does an excellent job at facilitating the trade of goods and labor.

It actually does an excellent job at making rich people richer and at exploiting the poor. Many people don’t even have enough “regular money” to afford food or other basic goods. On a different scale, regular money is used by state leaders to impose their worldviews on poor countries.
