Micro USB port check? Problems with a DJI Mavic Pro

Is there any way I can diagnose if the micro usb port on my phone is working ok? It works fine connecting to a windows 10 PC but is giving problems elsewhere.

I’m trying to use my FP2 to control a DJI Mavic Pro Drone. You connect your phone directly via a cable to the drone remote controller via the micro USB port on the phone Basically mine only works intermittently and I’m wondering if the usb port on my phone is faulty.

Can you try a differen cable or does the drone come with a proprietary connector?
