Mic not working despite replaced bottom module

Some time ago, my mic stopped working. The speaker-mode mic does work, but not the one used for regular phonecalls/whatsapp. Today I replaced the bottom module and nothing changed. I checked and I can’t see any dust/debris on the connection.
Any leads would be great

Have you tried hard reset, that’s the first thing you should do. Backup and reset.

Thanks! I did try that. I had tried it before changing the module and now tried again with the new module.
