So I downloaded the Android USB driver here: and then followed the steps 1.-14. in this tutorial: Then I was able to perform the manual update as linked in the first message from dirk2. Hi, reading thru many, many advisories and using many proposed USB driver (Google USB driver, platform-tools, Android Studio, universal naked …, etc., etc.), on how to connect my Fairphone 2 for Fastboot, unfortunately none of them worked.
