For several days, my phone’s microphone used for the calls has not been working anymore.
Is it a known issue ?
Is it a software or an hardware one ?
It doesn’t seem the microphone is available as a spare part.
Hello, it might be a software or hardware issue and it does not seem to be widespread among users. Can you do voicemail? Is it affecting only calls? what happens when you use a headset or a handsfree mode?
If you are using FP OS, you can test the microphones via MyFairphone app.
Microphones are not user replaceable, unfortunately.
It’s affecting all records.

My FP6 is under Android 16
The FP6 has two microphones which are the small holes on the top and bottom edges. If you hold the FP6 with the yellow switch facing upwards while recording a video, the audio is recorded in stereo with the correct left/right orientation. Try tapping on each side while recording to test whether the sounds are captured on the left and right channels during playback.
Be careful how you hold the phone so you don’t cover the microphones with your fingers.
