Lost contacts on phone after activate a google email count

I have fairphone open 7 (sibon) without GApps
I had my contacts on my phone

When I activate an e-mail google acount in the e-mail aplication, I have lost most of my contacts !!! ( there are only the last ones that I added )

I have seen /data/data/android.providers.contacts/databases/contacts2.db but I do not understand its structure.

Is there any way to recover my contacts?

Google is the owner and master of all telephones including FP open without GApps?

Contacts gone after registration for play store and fair phone update

MyPhoneExplorer (Windows only) is able to display all contacts it can find on your phone, be they locally stored or synced with Google. You could have a look whether it shows the “vanished” contacts. MyPhoneExplorer distinguishes between the different storage places, so when everything else is sorted out, you could easily copy synced contacts back to the local phone storage and delete them at Google’s place then.

unfortunately I do not use nor do I have any windows computer. It looks very good what it does. Do you know something similar in linux?

I wonder. MyPhoneExplorer is one of only a few things still keeping me on Windows. However, MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.7 seemed to work using Wine when connecting to the phone via WiFi. That’s what I would try first on Linux with the current MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.9.
