I just needed to buy a new battery, because the other one was bloated. It must be possible to sent this by mailbox post, so the delivery costs will be less. Why not?
That’s for legal requirements to ensure safety. The battery is defined as a hazardous good (just think of Samsung’s recent battery disaster) and as such, it must be sent by a shipping method that makes sure the safe delivery. Unfortunately, Fairphone has no other (cheaper) choice that would comply with the law.
Aha! Legal requirements…
But if your battery is bloated you usually get a free replacement (with free shipping) after contacting support.
No, I called support. She said I have to order it myself, because it is the FP1 and there is no garantee for battery anymore
