I checked out all the iterations of Fairphone’s Fairbuds and it looks like it lacks some things tuning wise. I just drop my thought that if they would consider collaborating with a Dutch IEM brand like Canpur to make their Fairbuds to tune them exceptionally well. It would launch these products to audiophiles and audio hobbyists and better tuning would be beneficial for everybody.
What anybody think about this thought?

I’d absolutely LOVE the idea of an audio product made with Fairphone’s strict guidelines regarding repairability AND sustainability, but tuned by some of the biggest experts in the industry.
Though it sounds like quite the challenge. Especially if we’re talking about wireless devices for on the go use, at a bearable price point.
I’d argue the indoor only wired headphones market has some decent contenders for repairabile headphones. At least I’m personally almost done Ship Of Theseus-ing my DT770 with how many times I’ve replaced something on it. Manly the coushins, obviously.

I think it could be achievable without significantly increasing the price, based on collaborations between IEM brands and reviewers or between brands. Even older audio brands are making good sounding tws buds.
