Hello, My phone was hit by a car and, while it was working, it suffered damage to the screen (which I’ll have to replace) and the camera (the external protective glass broke: do I have to replace the entire camera?). The problem is that the case containing the pieces was deformed (as shown in the photo), so both the screen and the back cover don’t adhere properly. Do you know if it’s possible to replace the case or do you have any suggestions? Thanks
I’m afraid you will need to replace the Rear Cameras block altogether (unfortunately for you, Fairphone only managed to separate all cameras from the protective glass on the Fairphone 5):
Or do you mean the metal midframe?
And while I am at it … please take take a look at this (especially the final two paragraphs about press connectors: “To reconnect, …”) right before you connect the new display:
It could spare you a lot of frustration.
But if by the case you mean the frame, it should be possible to have it replaced by the FP repair center, unfortunately paying out of pocket.
Please have a look at the FP4 price list.
Edited to say that now pictures are visible.
I find it impossible to assess the damage (I also don’t have FP4). There is a glimpse of hope that perhaps changing the back cover could suffice?
Depending on your location, you may try to reach out to some local Angels for assessment.
Thanks, now I attached the image… I think that is the “Midframe“ in your link
Please see my edit then:)
