Incoming mail stopped working

After having my FP2 for more then a year, all of a sudden my incoming mail stopped working. I use Icloud and the server setting are the same as on my laptop. It always worked fine and now . . . everytime i do the settings, it says my username of password is incorrect. I tried every advice I could find on the forum but unfortunatly no luck. Can anybody help me ?

Since last week is two step verification required. Together with this system Apple introduced app based passwords. If you use your apple account elsewhere you should generate a different password. Go to your apple account.
