Dear all,
It takes a very long time for Google Maps on my FP1 to detect and keep my current location accurate based on the GPS signal.
Is it somehow possible to improve GPS location tracking in Google Maps on the FP1?
Thankfully,
~Robert

Have a look at the #gpsguide and try the suggestions there. Has your GPS improved afterwards?
Dear Stefan,
Thank you very much for sharing the guide with me!
So far I couldn’t notice any improvements.
But I will give it another day!

Hi all,
Some updates from my side:
That’s already someting to celebrate.

I’m not using Google, but what really helps me is to “Reload A-GPS” in Satstat before leaving the house (wifi).
In SatStat’s Settings you can see the last update time. Also if you habe a valid Internet connection it’s successufl 100% oft the times within a second. Otherwise I believe you’ll get an error message after some seconds.
Thanks!
Can this somehow be automatised to run automatically periodically?
~Robert
In the settings you can choose the update frequency of the AGPS data.
You also can choose which network(S) the app may use.
Thanks! I will play with these settings for the next days and see how it goes.
